Taco Wraps are a quick and nutritious family meal that everyone enjoys!
I haven’t made my homemade taco recipe in quite some time, and tonight at supper my little guy kept saying, “I have never eaten anything like this in my whole life!” Of course, he has, but it has been awhile, so he just doesn’t remember. My husband informed me that it was fine with him if we eat this recipe once a week. I’m thinking this dinner dish is a keeper, and I hope it will be for your family as well.
Ingredients for Taco Wraps:
lean ground beef
brown rice
canned diced tomatoes
canned black beans and/or pinto beans
optional: frozen corn
homemade taco seasoning (see below)
spinach or tomato wraps
extra sharp cheese
light sour cream
Homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe:
½ Tablespoon of each of the following ingredients:
cilantro, paprika, cumin, onion powder, garlic salt, garlic powder, and chili powder
How to Make Taco Wraps:
Brown the lean ground beef and rinse.
Cook the brown rice and add to the ground beef along with the diced tomatoes and beans.
Add the taco seasoning and simmer until the mixture thickens.
Serve with spinach or tomato wraps, cheese, and sour cream.
It’s easy and delish! I put it together quickly this evening before piano lessons after a day with friends and a long grocery store trip! Definitely a time-saver meal and not too much cleanup!
