Fall is my favorite season. I love the crisp, cool mornings and how sunlight casts special shadows on the grass. There are so many fun events to enjoy as the seasons change, and those events often bring us into contact with crowds of people. Unfortunately, with more people around, there are more germs to share!
I’m one of those people who opens doors with my back or foot if they push open. If there’s a handle to pull, I use a paper towel. I also press the elevator button with my elbow, turn off the faucets in public restrooms with a paper towel, and try to avoid hand-shaking if at all possible, but a lot of times that’s just not possible in our hand-shaking culture.
These may seem like drastic measures to some, but for me, they are ways I can avoid “some of the germs”; however, germs are everywhere and we can’t avoid them all. That probably wouldn’t be healthy for our immune systems anyway!
Hand sanitizer will never replace good ole-fashioned soap and water. That’s still the best option, but in a pinch, hand sanitizer is a needful second option!
My children enjoy going to the park, but there’s not always soap and water at the park. In those situations, hand sanitizer and wet wipes have to substitute before a picnic lunch.
Ever used a public restroom that was out of soap? It happens. Use the hand sanitizer and then wash your hands with water and use the sanitizer again! I even use hand sanitizer after washing my hands with soap and water in certain situations.
In my husband’s line of work, he is in constant need of hand washing and hand sanitizer. In the winter months, his hands often crack open from washing and using hand sanitizer so much. We like using hand sanitizer that has trustworthy ingredients that will cleanse AND nourish our skin.
Mom’s Meet recently offered me the opportunity to try and review Desert Essence® Probiotic Hand Sanitizer.
My family typically uses a lot more hand sanitizer in the fall and winter months, so I was happy to receive and review such a needful product!
